Samoan Language Week 2020

It is Samoan Language Week and in Room 2 we have been practicing using some Samoan language and singing some songs :) 

 

Back to School!

Room 2 have had a wonderful first week back at school. We have all loved playing, talking, and learning with our friends.

A special welcome to our new classmates Ava R and Zara. 

We went on an autumn walk and had lots of fun crunching and playing in the leaves!

A nice surprise

On Monday, the RE activity was to surprise someone by doing something kind. Bonnie chose to make a card for her neighbour Sonia. She thanked Sonia for always waving to her and saying hello.

Today, Bonnie got a lovely surprise in the letterbox. Sonia had written a letter back to Bonnie 😃

She also put in pictures for Bonnie and her brothers to colour in. 

Bonnie was very happy with the cat picture!

My puzzles

Yesterday I did all of my puzzles. I did all 5 of my Wasjigs. I did 3 Frozen puzzles. I did one Moana puzzle and a Princess puzzle. I did 2 Minnie Mouse puzzles. I did 6 Wiggles puzzles. I did 1 unicorn puzzle. One Lion King puzzle and a dinosaur puzzle.  One tiger puzzle. The last one was a Ninja Turtle puzzle. 

Can you spot them all? The Lion King puzzle is hard to see.

Birthday fun at the Sumpter house

This weekend Lucas and I both had birthdays - I made the cake for Lucas on Friday but since we couldn't share the cake outside our bubble we had lots leftover and ate it for my birthday too :) I had a lovely birthday in my bubble.

The teachers all sang Happy Birthday to me at our Zoom meeting on Friday - they even wore dress ups and I got to blow out candles on a pretend cake!

I felt so lucky when I checked my emails this morning and found some cute birthday messages from a few Room 2 children! :)

Althea the Super Scientist

Althea was very busy on Friday making Oobleck. She has written what she saw and made a fantastic video describing the changes it made!

Sonny's 9th birthday

On Friday it was Sonny's 9th birthday. I helped mum to make him a moon cake. We put an astronaut and a flag on the moon. The marshmallows are craters on the moon.

Me and mum made Sonny a happy birthday poster and put it on the window. I cut out Star Wars and drew a cat on the poster as these are his favourite things. I dressed up as Princess Leia from Star Wars. Sonny had such a fun birthday.

I loved the birthday food!
