Welcome to Term 3!

It has been lovely to see everyone return to school after the holidays! With 3 new students joining Room 2 it was time for an updated class photo :)

For Integrated Learning (IL) this term we are learning about pirates - our family corner has transformed into a pirate ship and the children are really enjoying lots of imaginative play.

We are looking forward to a settled and happy term with lots of learning!

ASB Money Wi$e Visit

Today Captain Cashtastic (aka Craig) from ASB visited Room 1 & 2 to teach us about money. We practised identifying NZ coins and notes and Captain Cashtastic taught us some tips for being 'saving super heros'. We learned about the difference between needs and wants and we helped 'Sensible Boy' (aka Daniel) earn money to spend, save, and give away. 

Captain Cashtastic taught us the special Saving Super Hero song. It goes like this: 

When you get some money want do you do? You spend some, save some, and give some too.
